e-Communication Reflection

This year I learned about many things in e9. I learned technical skills, communication, collaboration, leadership, and project management. I learned how to use programs from Adobe, Google Sketchup, and Final Cut Pro. From these programs I learned how to create videos, graphic design pieces, and animations. I also have been taught how to write effectively on Blogger and other sources.

I learned how to do this by most of the teachers and by myself. One of the teacher's wasn't good at teaching so I had to look up most of the information. The other teachers gave detailed instructions and once I got the hang of it I could do it multiple times. My friends also helped me when I didn't know something.

The stuff I have learned is important because it will show in my future. Im hoping that in the future the skills I have learned will help me for future jobs and achievements. Now I will be ahead of the game and know some computer schools and collaboration skills. It is important because it has allowed me to make some new and great friends that will last a lifetime.

My greatest strengths are that I’m confident in my work and I’m really creative. I also work well with others and can be a leader at times. My weaknesses are that I’m too blunt sometimes and people can get mad. I have improved on my computer proficiency. I also think I have become more creative.
I am going to use the skills I have learned for future jobs and people I will meet. I will help teach people the skills I have made and will help others. For any job I go into the future, skills that I have learned will transition into it.

I would change a few things in this program, I would not want Blogger anymore in this class, but it would still be available for other students who want to use it. I would change the teaching process because I feel like we're not really learning anything when someone talks for a whole class period and then we have to remember it the next day. Overall, that's all I would change because I had a really fun time in this class.

This class has been very beneficial for me and taught me many new technical skills. It has also showed me how many new friends I made and how much more I can make. I felt like this was a great class to take as a freshmen, but not for the rest of my years as a highschooler. You’ve been great e-Communication!

e9 Final Project

My team used technical skills, communication, collaboration, leadership, and project management to create an awesome product. Are team name was BARM, which is are initials for are names, Braden, Addison, Randon, and Mackenzie.

The product we made up was called Quickline, an app to get you through the supermarket faster. It helps you find the shortest line so your in and out quicker.

My team did really good with the graphic design parts and the video. We worked together well and focused on are product.

We struggled the most on communicating when we where going to be absent. Not all team members contributed probably either.

What I will do differently is attribute more and have more fun while doing the project.

The next group project I would change is the project and my team members if I could change them.

I've improved in Graphic Design and voicing my thoughts.

I made the ad for are app Quickline and I thought it went very well and looks elegant.

I also helped direct and get shots for the video.

I also performed in the video with my awesome acting abilities.

Overall i think the project went very well even though we had a team member gone almost the whole time. I had fun with my group and the other people in my class for e9.

Mercedes Logo

My first Graphic Design logo! To professional designers out there you must think this is one of the easiest logos out along with the rest, however they are getting simpler by the day. I read and watched a tutorial and thought the video was better. I enjoyed making this! I researched what the three-pointed star meant, it symbolizes universal motorization "on land, on water and in the air". The logo is a silver gradient because in all the years this logo has been used its been sitting on a expensive and dashing looking car. I feel like if they used any other color it would have ruined the professional simplistic design.

Anatomy of Typography

The last few days I have learned about anatomy of type. It describes the graphic elements that make up printed letters in a typeface. It gives each font and character its own voice. Theres a different theme for each one. Lets say you have a poster with a beautiful simple design, you don't want to ruin that with a crazy noisy font do you? So you use a simplistic font that drags you in towards the poster. See? The different anatomy of types help get you to a beautiful design, and help you learn about the next font you or others will make. I have created a piece above me that will help me in the future of typography.

Graphic Design

Graphic design communicates emotions through words, art, and design. It conveys who you are and how you feel. Graphic design is everywhere, its on food labels, book covers, invitations, etc. You plan and practice to produce beautiful ideas.

My softball coach works at EmbroidMe and they come up with different designs to put on items. It has always inspired me to make a logo or design. I look at pinterest designs all the time to inspire me for my next art project. When I want to pick out a good interesting book I usually look for a good name and cover design.

Album covers inspire me in many ways. They make me feel like I want to design something as great or greater than that. It also inspires me to go out and do something, to listen to some good music and finish something that hasn't been finished. Examples below are what I want to create, maybe as a job when I'm older.

Homework Chase Scene

I used Final Cut Pro to make this video. I also used the six-shot system and left space.

The video is about a girl, myself, finishing her homework. However, this other girl, Sarah, takes my homework. We chase around the school and Sarah goes up to the teacher, Emily, to find out we didn't turn it in on time anyways.

I really enjoyed making this video andI hope to make more in the future!
